Job Description: Ad Operations Specialist
Position Overview:
The Ad Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing advertising campaigns within the Communication and Media department. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. The Ad Operations Specialist ensures that advertising strategies are executed efficiently and accurately across various digital platforms, contributing to the overall success of advertising campaigns.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the end-to-end execution of advertising campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of ad creative, tracking tags, and other campaign elements.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including media planners, creative teams, and sales representatives, to gather campaign requirements and ensure alignment with client objectives.
3. Coordinate with external partners, such as ad exchanges, publishers, and third-party vendors, to implement and troubleshoot ad campaigns.
4. Perform quality assurance to verify that ad creative, landing pages, and tracking mechanisms are functioning correctly, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
5. Monitor campaign performance through data analysis and reporting tools, identifying trends and opportunities for optimization.
6. Optimize campaign performance by implementing A/B testing, targeting strategies, and other optimization techniques.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in ad operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
8. Provide support and guidance to internal teams on technical aspects related to ad operations, including ad formats, tracking technologies, and trafficking processes.
9. Document and maintain standard operating procedures for ad operations processes, ensuring consistency and scalability.
10. Collaborate with the technology team to explore and implement new ad technologies and tools that enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) working in ad operations within the advertising or media industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of digital advertising platforms, ad-serving technologies, and programmatic buying.
4. Proficiency in using ad management platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, DoubleClick, Sizmek, etc.) and ad exchanges (e.g., Google AdX, AppNexus, etc.).
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and derive insights from campaign performance data.
6. Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
7. Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
8. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive mindset to identify and resolve issues.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
10. Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and other web technologies is a plus.
